Plan for Fimbulwinter when a tank can repeatedly impair enemy movement and scale its shields with maximum Mana.
- Best on
- Fully stacked Winter's Approach users with reliable crowd control; ranged champions receive shields at half strength.
- Good against
- Strong into grouped melee fights where the shield is enlarged; weaker into anti-shield items and ranged teams you cannot crowd-control consistently.
- When to buy it
- A mid-game transformation payoff created by buying and stacking Tear early, not an item to begin pursuing late.
