Winter's Approach

Tank and mana scaling

When Should You Build Winter's Approach?

Build Winter's Approach when a mana-using tank can stack Tear consistently and convert maximum Mana into Health and repeated ability uptime.

Best on
Mana-hungry tanks and control frontliners that frequently cast, attack, or absorb champion damage.
Good against
Good in scaling and attrition games; poor into early aggression that punishes its delayed transformation and on champions without reliable slows or immobilization.
When to buy it
Start Tear early and complete Winter's Approach early enough to reach Fimbulwinter before major mid-game fights.
