Best on

Any role facing an auto-attack lane, especially tanks, bruisers, and carries vulnerable to physical DPS.

Good against

Excellent against marksmen and basic-attack champions such as Tryndamere, Yasuo, Yone, Jax, or Master Yi; less useful into spell-based physical burst.

When to buy it

Rush them when the attack reduction is needed to survive lane; otherwise buy after the first core item.
