Buy Sheen when your champion naturally casts an ability and follows it with a basic attack often enough to trigger Spellblade repeatedly.

Best on

Spellblade fighters, tanks, and carries with low-cooldown abilities and empowered attacks.

Good against

Good in short repeated trades; poor on champions that cannot safely attack after casting or have very long ability cooldowns.

When to buy it

Often the key early component of a first core item because it changes the champion's trade pattern immediately.
