Wild Rift 7.3 is testing a large support item update. Echoes of Helia converts stored champion damage into ally healing, while Whispering Circlet upgrades into Crown of Songs, a mana-based support item with recurring healing. Several existing enchanter items become cheaper and offer stronger ally benefits, but lose health or other personal stats.
This is a preview of the September 2 Chinese test server notes, based on the English translation and checked against the official announcement. The values can change, and names such as Whispering Circlet and Crown of Songs are provisional translations. Read the 7.3 patch overview for release context.
Echoes of Helia: Turn Damage Into Healing
The new Echoes of Helia costs 2,400 gold and provides 200 health, 40 AP, 20 ability haste, and 50% base mana regeneration. Its recipe is Bandle Glass Mirror, Kindlegem, and 500 gold.
The passive stores 30% of pre-mitigation damage dealt to enemy champions as Soul Shards, up to a level-based cap of 80–250. Healing or shielding an ally other than yourself consumes the stored shards to heal that ally for the stored amount.
For a simple example, 400 pre-mitigation champion damage would produce 120 stored healing if the holder's current cap allows at least 120. At an 80-point cap, only 80 could be stored. The next qualifying heal or shield then spends that stored amount. This example excludes heal amplification and reductions affecting the final heal.
The item asks for two things: opportunities to damage champions and a reliable way to heal or shield a teammate afterward. Dealing damage only to minions does not meet the listed storage condition, and a self-only shield does not cash out the shards.
That makes champions who can safely alternate poke and ally support reasonable candidates to test. It does not establish a mandatory first item for every enchanter: a difficult lane may offer few safe damage windows.
Whispering Circlet and Crown of Songs
Whispering Circlet costs 2,400 gold, built from Forbidden Idol, Tear of the Goddess, Ruby Crystal, and 700 gold. It grants 200 health, 500 mana, 50% base mana regeneration, and 8% heal and shield power.
Its Harmony passive adds heal and shield power equal to 0.5% of maximum mana and refunds 25% of mana spent. Spending mana also grants 14 maximum mana per trigger, up to 700, with at most two triggers per ten seconds. At full stacks, it transforms into Crown of Songs.
What Crown of Songs Adds
The transformed item lists 1,200 mana, retaining 200 health, 50% base mana regeneration, the 8% heal and shield stat, and Harmony.
Its additional effect activates when either you or an ally you healed or shielded in the last three seconds is in combat. It then heals the lowest-health nearby ally within 800 range each second for 0.8% of your maximum mana.
At 2,000 maximum mana, that listed formula produces 16 healing per second before other modifiers. The example uses total maximum mana, not only the item's mana. Actual healing will depend on the active combat condition, available targets, amplification, and healing reduction.
The stacking requirement matters when comparing this item with an immediately active purchase. A champion who wants the recurring heal must first finish the mana-stacking process. The translation also does not answer every targeting and interaction question, so do not assume it behaves exactly like a similarly named PC item.
Ardent Censer and Staff of Flowing Waters
Ardent Censer: Stronger Attack Buff, Less Personal Durability
Ardent Censer falls from 2,700 to 2,400 gold. AP rises from 45 to 50, and heal and shield power rises from 5% to 8%. It loses 250 health and 10 ability haste, while movement speed falls from 5% to 4%.
Healing or shielding another champion grants you and that ally 30% attack speed and 25 on-hit magic damage for six seconds.
This is an item to examine when your team can use repeated basic attacks during the buff. The lower price brings completion closer, but the lost health also makes the support more vulnerable. The value of protecting an ADC has to be weighed alongside the safety of the champion delivering the buff.
Staff of Flowing Waters: An Ability-Focused Ally Buff
Staff of Flowing Waters falls from 2,500 to 2,400 gold, with heal and shield power rising to 8%. Its 100 health is removed, and its own ability haste falls from 15 to 10.
Healing or shielding another champion grants both users 40 AP and 15 ability haste for six seconds. That creates a different ally preference from Ardent Censer: the buff is aimed at ability output rather than attack speed and on-hit damage.
In testing, choose based on who can actually use the effect during the next fight. A team with strong spell damage may value Staff even when the support shares a lane with a marksman. The item's own haste and the triggered buff are separate parts of the stat package.
Harmonic Echo Changes Its Healing and Shielding Effect
Harmonic Echo falls from 2,800 to 2,500 gold. It gains health and ability haste, moving to 200 health, 40 AP, and 20 ability haste, while losing 300 mana and its 5% heal and shield power.
Healing or shielding an ally also affects another nearby allied champion with the lowest health percentage, for 30% of the heal or 35% of the shield. If no other ally is in range, the original target gets the additional amount.
A 400-point shield therefore has a listed additional component of 140 before other applicable modifiers. The useful distinction is where that extra protection goes: onto a second ally when one qualifies, or back onto the original target when no other ally is in range.
That behavior makes team positioning relevant to the item's value. It also gives the item a different identity from Helia's damage storage and Crown of Songs' recurring mana-scaled healing.
Redemption and Imperial Mandate
Redemption falls from 2,600 to 2,450 gold, with heal and shield power rising from 5% to 8%. It loses its 150 health, while AP falls from 50 to 40 and ability haste from 15 to 10. A cheaper completion does not preserve the old defensive stat line.
Imperial Mandate moves in the other direction on price, from 2,500 to 2,600 gold. It loses 200 health, gains AP from 50 to 60, and adds 50% base mana regeneration.
Its tested effects give crowd-control abilities 20 ability haste and make crowd control mark enemy champions for four seconds, during which they take 7% increased damage. That is a target-focused damage amplification effect. It should not be described as a permanent 7% damage bonus against the entire enemy team.
New Components and the Cost of Giving Up Health
Forbidden Idol becomes a direct 700-gold purchase, down from 900, with 6% heal and shield power. It loses its 100 health and five ability haste.
The new Bandle Glass Mirror costs 900 gold, built from Amplifying Tome, Ring of Revelation, and 100 gold. The translated stat list gives it 50% base mana regeneration and 10 ability haste. Use the listed final stats rather than assuming that every ingredient stat carries into the completed component.
Across the update, several enchanter purchases lose health at once. A full build's survivability may change more than any one item suggests. When comparing first and second items, check both the ally benefit and whether you can stay alive long enough to apply it repeatedly.
Tank Support Items Are Changing Too
Knight's Vow falls from 2,600 to 2,450 gold, but its health drops from 400 to 200. Zeke's Convergence falls from 2,700 to 2,400 gold, trades some health and armor for magic resistance, and gains ten ultimate haste while losing mana.
Casting an ultimate with the tested Zeke's creates a five-second storm that damages and slows nearby enemies. If no enemy champion is nearby, it waits up to five seconds for one to enter range. The stated storm damage is 150 magic damage; the announcement should not be read as promising 150 damage every second.
Abyssal Mask drops to 2,400 gold, with lower health and magic resistance, and makes nearby enemy champions take 12% increased magic damage. Frozen Heart falls to 2,550 gold and reduces nearby enemy attack speed by 25% within 650 range.
These are different answers to different fights: helping allied magic damage, reducing enemy attack output, or adding value around an engage. Their prices alone do not identify the strongest support build.
Rune and Champion Changes to Check Alongside Items
Legend: Haste replaces Legend: Tenacity and stacks to 15 ability haste. Ingenious Hunter is temporarily removed. If your old setup relied on either removed rune, reassess its purpose before importing the same item plan.
Several supports also receive durability changes. For example, Braum loses starting health and armor but gains health growth, while Senna loses starting health alongside changes to her damage and Mist scaling. The full build comparison needs to account for those champion changes as well as the shop.
Which Support Item Should You Test First?
The notes suggest different starting questions, rather than a universal purchase order:
- Can you deal safe champion damage before helping an ally? Test how often you can store and spend Helia's healing.
- Can you afford a stacking item and use repeated combat healing? Examine the Circlet-to-Crown route.
- Does your carry use sustained basic attacks? Compare Ardent Censer's buff with the alternatives.
- Does your team depend on ability damage? Examine Staff's triggered AP and haste.
- Do clustered fights create repeated heal or shield opportunities? Test Harmonic Echo's extra target behavior.
