Soraka Support Wild Rift Guide
Who counters Soraka in Wild Rift? The toughest Soraka support counters are Leona, Nautilus, and Pyke. Full Soraka Support counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.
Overview
Soraka keeps her lane alive through raw healing. Starcall chips anyone in its circle and heals her a little back, Astral Infusion trades her own health to heal an ally, and Equinox drops a zone that silences and roots anyone who stays in it. Her ultimate heals every ally on the map at once, so she can swing a fight three lanes away. In the 2v2 she wins by attrition. She has no engage and no burst, so the lane is a slow trade war: poke with Starcall, heal off every bit of harass, and let your ADC farm and trade from a health bar that refuses to drop. Every failed all-in leaves the enemy support out of mana and your carry topped off. Equinox is the one button that makes a dive think twice. The catch is built into the kit: she pays for heals with her own health and has nothing to save herself. She is slow, squishy, and immobile, so any hook or hard engage that reaches her ends the fight before her sustain matters. A dead healer heals nothing, and the whole enemy team knows it.
Strengths
- Unmatched sustain that keeps a carry and a lane standing through poke and trades the enemy duo cannot match.
- A global heal that reaches fights anywhere on the map, so her impact is never limited to her own lane.
- Equinox gives her real disengage, silencing an engage and rooting divers who stay in the zone.
Weaknesses
- Immobile and squishy with nothing to save herself, so any hook or hard engage that reaches her kills her.
- She pays for heals with her own health, so careless sustain leaves her too low to survive a collapse.
- No engage and no burst, so she cannot punish a lane or force a kill on her own terms.

Soraka Support Counters
Who counters Soraka Support in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Soraka in the support matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Leona: Leona's point-and-click stun chain ignores everything you own and lands on the immobile healer first, and you cannot heal through a full lockdown combo onto your own face.
- Nautilus: His hook drags you out of position and his kit chains crowd control long enough that no amount of healing matters once you are caught.
- Pyke: He is built to make your healing irrelevant: his ultimate executes through full health bars, his whole kit hunts squishy backline supports, and he resets off every kill.
- Rell: Her engage locks you down hard and arrives whether you are ready or not, so your sustain ends up answering a fight that already ended once she binds you.
- Blitzcrank: A single grab removes you from the fight entirely, and an immobile healer is the easiest hook target in the lane, so one landed hook erases your whole sustain advantage.
- Thresh: You are his prime hook target: immobile, squishy, and worth the whole lane when a hook lands, while his flay interrupts your heals and the lantern makes even his losing trades free.
Champions Soraka Is Strong Against
Soraka's best matchups in Wild Rift. Soraka holds an edge against these picks in the support role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Braum: He brings poke and a shield but no real kill pressure on you, so the lane turns into a grind your sustain wins while his side runs out of patience and mana.
- Milio: A disengage mirror that becomes a patience contest: his shields and cleanse blunt your harass, but nothing in his kit can punch through your sustain, and you out-poke him with Starcall.
- Janna: Nobody out-sustains you in pure attrition. Her disengage saves her from ganks, not from healing that never runs out, so the long game belongs to you.
- Morgana: Her entire threat is one binding and your healing outpaces her chip, so every trade she wins comes back as healing, and your silence zone cuts off her cast animations.
Soraka Support Synergies
The best duo partners for Soraka in the Wild Rift support role. The Dragon lane is a 2v2, so queue with one of these picks to make the lane and the mid game much easier.
- Caitlyn: Her traps and net keep enemies off both of you, and your heals turn her poke-siege lane into one that never has to back down. Range plus sustain is a slow strangle.
- Kog'Maw: You keep the artillery alive: Astral Infusion trades your health for his uptime, and your silence zone breaks the dive before it reaches him.
- Tristana: Her all-in resets pair with your heals: she jumps in knowing Astral Infusion covers the trade, and Equinox silences the counter-engage her dive invites.
Early Game
Play the long game from the first wave. Stand on the wave so Starcall hits the enemy support whenever they step up to poke or last hit, and heal your carry after a trade settles instead of mid-exchange where it just feeds their damage. Watch your own health as closely as your ADC's, since every Astral Infusion costs you health and a careless heal leaves you too low to survive a gank you did not see coming. Track the enemy jungler before walking forward to poke, because you have no escape and Equinox is your only answer to a collapse. Win this phase by being the lane that never quite dies while their support wastes mana on all-ins that go nowhere.
Mid Game
Your healing now works on the whole map. Wish reaches everywhere, so watch the other lanes: a topped-up jungler diving mid or a skirmish at the wrong objective can be flipped by a heal cast from your own river. You roam badly alone, with no engage and no speed, so move with your ADC or jungler instead of risking a pick you cannot survive. At dragon and herald, ward early and hang back, healing your frontline through the poke while Starcall chips anyone near the pit, and drop Equinox across the choke if the enemy forces in. You set up fights by keeping everyone healthy enough to take them, not by starting them.
Late Game
Late game you are the reason your carry survives the first three things thrown at them. Stand behind your team, never on the edge where a flank can find you, and treat Wish as a fight-saving cooldown instead of a button to press whenever it is up, since one well-timed cast can pull your whole team back from a lost exchange. Keep Equinox for the diver who slips past your frontline, cutting their combo short with the silence and rooting them off your backline. Your damage barely matters and that is fine: an alive Soraka decides which team still has a carry standing, and a dead one hands the enemy the fight for free.
Teamfights
Keep the right people alive and never become one of the people who dies. Stay behind the fight, chain Astral Infusion onto whoever is being focused, and watch health bars across the map so Wish lands the moment your team drops into kill range. Equinox is your panic peel: drop it on the assassin or engage tank diving your carry and the silence cuts their combo while the root strands them. You will not be on the damage charts and should not want to be. You win the fights where the dive bounces off a backline that never dropped and your carry walks out untouched.
