Taliyah Jungle Wild Rift Guide

Who counters Taliyah in Wild Rift? The toughest Taliyah jungle counters are Ekko, Evelynn, and Fizz. Full Taliyah Jungle counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.

Overview

Taliyah in the jungle is a control mage who wins by controlling space and creating terrain. Threaded Volley fires a burst of rocks that pokes and clears, Seismic Shove throws a target up and away to start or stop a fight, Unraveled Earth mines the ground to punish anyone who dashes through it, and Weaver's Wall is a ridable ridge that crosses half the map. She does not clear the fastest or duel the hardest, but she controls more space than almost any jungler and turns that control into picks. She wins through poke, zoning, and map pressure rather than one big all-in. Chip targets at scuttle and on ganks, use Seismic Shove to peel a diver or throw a squishy into your team, and lay Unraveled Earth so the enemy has nowhere safe to stand. Her ultimate is the key tool: a wall that lets her flank from an unwarded angle, cross the river to a fleeing target, or escape a collapse. The cost is how fragile she is. She is squishy with no real escape once her wall is down, so an assassin who reaches her or an early duelist who catches her mid-clear ends the fight before her zoning matters. All her damage is skillshots, so a missed Seismic Shove or a dodged volley is a wasted window.

Strengths

  • Her poke and percent-health burn out-range and wear down the immobile farmers and health stackers she is built to punish.
  • Her global wall turns every lane into a flank or a pick, giving her map pressure no other jungler matches.
  • Seismic Shove and Unraveled Earth are real lockdown, letting her peel divers and set up picks for her team.

Weaknesses

  • Squishy and immobile once her wall is spent, so any assassin or early duelist who reaches her wins instantly.
  • All her damage is skillshots, so a missed volley or shove achieves nothing.
  • Her early clear and dueling are average, so aggressive junglers can invade and bully her before she scales.

Taliyah Jungle Counters

Who counters Taliyah Jungle in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Taliyah in the jungle matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.

  • Ekko: Ekko ignores the ground you control, blinking through your zone with Phase Dive and landing on your fragile frame before your wall matters, and his stun into combo kills you in one go.
  • Evelynn: Evelynn picks the fight from stealth, so your range means nothing when you never see her coming, and once her charm holds you in place her burst kills your fragile frame.
  • Fizz: Fizz hops untargetable through Seismic Shove and your poke with Playful Trickster, so the spacing your whole game depends on breaks down the moment he commits, and you cannot peel him off.

Champions Taliyah Is Strong Against

Taliyah's best matchups in Wild Rift. Taliyah holds an edge against these picks in the jungle role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.

  • Diana: Diana has to land on top of you to do anything, and Seismic Shove throws her out of her own all-in while Unraveled Earth punishes the ground her reset lands on.
  • Lee Sin: Lee Sin needs to dash in to fight, and everything in your kit denies that: your worked ground slows his approach, Seismic Shove throws him back out, and Unraveled Earth punishes his landing spot.
  • Graves: Graves only hurts up close, and your kit keeps him out: he eats poke on every approach, arrives already low, and Seismic Shove pushes him away whenever he tries to close.

Early Game

Your first clear is steady rather than fast, so route for mana and use Threaded Volley to chip camps from range. You are not winning a clear race or an even early duel, so do not try: take the safe scuttle and give up the one a real duelist is already standing on. That crab still brings you to level five, and Weaver's Wall is what makes you a jungler rather than a farmer. Your ganks want a target you can pin, so once the camps are respawning, shove someone toward your laner or into a wall, drop Unraveled Earth where they have to walk, and let the poke and root do the work. Ward your own entrances, because a squishy mage caught mid-clear is a free kill.

Mid Game

Six minutes brings dragon and Herald, and your job at both is zoning rather than brawling. Unraveled Earth denies the ground the enemy needs to stand on, so shove the first person who steps up and let your team collapse on whoever you peeled or threw. Contest when your team is ahead on early fights; when it is even, take Herald and give up the dragon, since your wall converts a tower faster than most, unless your team is built to fight for soul. Between objectives, clear a camp then ride Weaver's Wall to a lane nobody is watching and turn a gank into a pick from an angle they never warded. Your tempo comes from the wall, not your clear speed, so keep showing up where the enemy is not.

Late Game

Late game you decide fights from range, not from the front line, so hold your angles and let the enemy walk into your zone. Set Unraveled Earth before the fight starts, keep Seismic Shove for the diver who reaches your carry or for throwing their carry into your team, and do not burn your wall in a panic when it is the tool that wins the fight. Baron and the late dragons are your best fights: a wall from the flank or a mined pit forces all five enemies to position around you. Stay behind your front line, poke them down as they approach, and let your slow and burn make the cramped fight unwinnable for them.

Teamfights

Stay in the back and shape the fight before it starts. Lay Unraveled Earth on the chokes and dive paths so the enemy front line has to walk through mines to reach you, then poke them down with Threaded Volley as they come. Seismic Shove is your one decisive button: peel the assassin off your carry, or throw their carry into your team and end the fight. Save Weaver's Wall to flank, cut off a retreat, or escape a collapse, and do not waste it on nothing. The mistake that loses fights is greedy positioning, because one dash onto your squishy frame undoes everything your zone set up.
