Evelynn Jungle Wild Rift Guide
Who counters Evelynn in Wild Rift? The toughest Evelynn jungle counters are Rengar, Vi, and Pantheon. Full Evelynn Jungle counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.
Overview
Evelynn is the jungler whose ganks come with no warning. Once she hits level five and Demon Shade grants camouflage, she goes unseen at range, walks up to a lane, and opens with a charm that locks a target down completely. Her whole identity is the ambush: the lane that felt safe a second ago suddenly is not. She wins through scaling. Her early clear is average and her early dueling is worse, so the start of the game is about farming safely and avoiding fights until her ultimate is online. After that, one charm into her empowered burst usually deletes a carry before their team reacts, and Last Caress lets her dive, kill, and vanish again. Everything before that spike is a weakness. She has no strong early gank without setup, she loses to anyone who catches her mid-clear, and one sweeper or control ward in the right brush turns her ambush into a death. Her payoff comes in the second half of the game, and the weak early window is the price.
Strengths
- Camouflage makes her ganks and picks almost impossible to ward against once it is online, so every lane is a threat.
- She scales into one of the cleanest assassins in the game: charm plus empowered burst removes a carry before they can react.
- Her charm is guaranteed lockdown, so sloppy enemy positioning turns into free kills once her kit comes together.
Weaknesses
- Weak early clear and early dueling, so she loses scuttle, invades, and most level-three skirmishes outright.
- Control wards and sweepers shut down the camouflage her whole game plan depends on, especially around objectives.
- She is fragile and committal: with charm on cooldown or a failed dive, she has no escape and no damage.

Evelynn Jungle Counters
Who counters Evelynn Jungle in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Evelynn in the jungle matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Rengar: Early on, Rengar plays your own game better: a camouflage hunter who jumps isolated targets and bursts you down before your charm matters. His ambush beats yours while you are both weak, though you outscale him.
- Vi: Vi's lock-on ultimate punches through the stealth your escape depends on and pins your squishy frame for her team. Her charged knockup also interrupts your burst rotation.
- Pantheon: Pantheon punishes your weak early game, invading before camouflage comes online and stunning you out of any play with his point-and-click combo. Aegis blocks your opening burst, and your fragile frame melts once you are visible.
Champions Evelynn Is Strong Against
Evelynn's best matchups in Wild Rift. Evelynn holds an edge against these picks in the jungle role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Graves: Graves cannot fight what he cannot see: your charm from camouflage takes away his dash, and your burst deletes him before his shotgun ever finds you.
- Talon: Against Talon, you always pick the fight because he never sees you coming. Every duel opens from invisibility with a guaranteed charm, and he has no answer to that.
- Nidalee: Nidalee wins open fights with poke and kiting, but none of that matters against a threat she cannot see. Her fragile frame dies to your burst once the charm lands from fog.
Early Game
Your first clear is about survival, not speed. Take a safe full clear and accept that you are slower and squishier than most junglers right now. Do not contest scuttle against a real early jungler and do not invade, because almost everyone beats you in that fight. Take the safe crab, finish the rotation, and get to level five, because your ultimate and camouflage arrive together and that is when you become a jungler instead of a farmer. From that point you can start looking for ganks rather than waiting on items. Use the camp respawn timer to walk at whichever lane has pushed too far, come in from an angle nobody is watching, and let the charm do the setup. Clear again when the camps are back and repeat. Until camouflage is up, farm, track the enemy jungler so you never get counter-ganked, and walk away from every early skirmish instead of joining it.
Mid Game
Six minutes brings dragon and Herald, and objectives are your best pick spots rather than your best fights. Drop a control ward of your own, sit in the brush near the pit, and punish whoever walks up to contest, because a charm there is usually a free objective and a free kill at once. Do not start an even five on five: take Herald when the trade is fair and let dragon go, unless your team is built to hold the fights that soul asks for. Between objectives, roam invisible and charm whoever stepped too far, then let the empowered hit do the rest. Keep farming between picks so your items keep up, and let your map threat make enemy carries play scared even in lanes you are nowhere near.
Late Game
Late game your job is to kill whoever the enemy cannot afford to lose. Find their main carry, charm them, delete them, then vanish before the rest of the fight can punish you. Camouflage lets you sit on a flank while Baron or Elder is being set up, so you can pick someone off before the objective starts and turn the fight into five versus four. Your damage is huge and your health bar is not, so patience is the real skill: wait for the carry to step out of position, take the angle, and never throw your charm at a tank just because the fight started. One clean kill on the right target ends most late fights before they begin.
Teamfights
You are not a frontliner and not an engage tool, so do not open by jumping into five people. Wait on the flank, hidden, until the enemy spends their cooldowns and their carry settles into a spot. Then charm the highest-value target you can reach, dump your full combo, and use Last Caress to finish and get back out. The empowered spike gives you enough durability to survive the dive itself, and that window is your way in and out alive. If their carry is protected by heavy peel, stay patient: charm the peeler off them or wait for their formation to break, because a mistimed dive is just a free kill for the enemy. Land the pick and the fight is already decided.
