When Should You Build Oceanid's Trident?
Build Oceanid's Trident when enemy shielding is frequent, substantial, and spread across enough champions to justify an entire anti-shield slot.
- Best on
- AP champions with reliable multi-target or repeated ability damage that can keep shield reduction applied.
- Good against
- Strong into enchanter shields and combinations such as Eclipse, Sterak's Gage, Seraph's Embrace, Gargoyle Stoneplate, Locket, and Kaenic Rookern; do not buy it for one occasional small shield.
- When to buy it
- Usually second to fourth once the enemy's total shielding is clearly deciding fights; earlier only into an extremely shield-heavy composition.
