Teemo Baron Lane Wild Rift Guide

Who counters Teemo in Wild Rift? The toughest Teemo Baron lane counters are Wukong, Sion, and Kennen. Full Teemo Baron Lane counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.

Overview

Teemo is a ranged poke champion in a melee lane. He poisons every attack, blinds auto-attackers, and covers the map with invisible mushrooms that make rivers and brushes dangerous to walk through. His lane plan is simple. Melee champions walk up to farm, take poisoned darts, and lose the trade because his blind makes their attacks miss. Against the right opponents, that blind removes an entire trade's worth of damage on a short cooldown. Everything outside the poke game is a weakness. He is tiny, squishy, and dies to one gap-closer, and in teamfights he sits at max range hoping nobody looks at him. Teemo wins by making the map dangerous and the lane miserable, not by fighting fair.

Strengths

  • His blind switches off auto-attackers mid-trade, flipping whole matchups in his favor.
  • Constant ranged poison poke that most melee laners cannot farm through.
  • Shrooms turn the whole map into vision, zone control, and steady damage.

Weaknesses

  • Very squishy with no escape: one gap-closer reaching him is usually fatal.
  • Little teamfight presence beyond poke and traps placed ahead of time.
  • Falls behind against sustain laners who heal through the poke.

Teemo Baron Lane Counters

Who counters Teemo Baron Lane in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Teemo in the Baron lane matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.

  • Wukong: The clone answers your blind because you cannot tell which one to dart, and his burst deletes you the moment he arrives.
  • Sion: Sion's shield soaks your poke, his waveclear ignores your zone control, and his health pool outlasts your poison. The blind means little against a champion who barely autos.
  • Kennen: Kennen out-pokes you, and his burst comes from abilities your blind barely touches, so it is a poke war you lose on raw numbers. His stun chain also catches a squishy yordle with no escape.
  • Aatrox: Aatrox deals his damage with Q sweeps, not autos, so your blind barely matters, and with World Ender up he runs you down and heals through your poke. The early levels are the only part you win.
  • Mordekaiser: Mordekaiser's shield absorbs your poke and his damage comes from abilities, so the blind is nearly useless. His death realm then traps you in an isolated 1v1 where your whole kit cannot function.

Champions Teemo Is Strong Against

Teemo's best matchups in Wild Rift. Teemo holds an edge against these picks in the Baron lane role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.

  • Nasus: You poison every stack attempt and blind his empowered strikes, so a scaling champion gets zoned out of his own scaling. Wither is the one tool he has that actually catches you.
  • Tryndamere: Critical strikes are his whole champion, and your blind makes them miss. Even his undying window cannot kill what it cannot hit.
  • Vayne: Auto attacks carry her whole kit and your blind shuts them off, while you out-range and out-poke her before her crit items ever arrive. Condemn into a wall is her only real threat.
  • Jax: Almost everything Jax does comes from auto-attacks, and your blind removes them, so his Counterstrike-and-stun all-in does little. You also poke him off the wave from a range he cannot answer.
  • Yone: Yone has to walk through your poison to reach you, and the blind blanks the empowered autos his combos rely on. He only out-scales you if he gets to farm in peace.

Early Game

Make every last hit cost them health. Poke every farming attempt with ranged attacks, and save the blind for the moment they commit to a trade, since a melee carry swinging at nothing loses the exchange outright. Use your camouflage for brush mind-games, and respect gap-closers, because one full combo kills you. From level five, start placing shrooms in river entrances and escape paths; the map control adds up.

Mid Game

Your power is denial, not a damage spike. Cover objectives, chokes, and flanking routes with shrooms so every enemy rotation takes damage and every facecheck is a gamble. Keep chipping the side lane and follow your team from poke range. You are not the play-maker; you are the reason the enemy jungler steps on three traps on the way to Herald and arrives already chunked.

Late Game

Stay far away and let the traps do the work. Shroom the Baron pit, the dragon approaches, and every brush the enemy has to cross, then poke from the very edge of fights. Teams that walk through your minefield reach objectives missing a third of their health. Your one job is positioning, because every diver on their team kills you if they reach you.

Teamfights

You are long-range poke with traps already planted. Seed the fight zone with shrooms ahead of time, poke from max range, and spend the blind on their most auto-reliant threat at the moment it matters. Never be reachable: your whole contribution depends on staying alive at the back. Fights you win look uneventful; the enemy just arrives slower, weaker, and blinded.
