Jinx Dragon Lane Wild Rift Guide
Jinx Dragon lane counters include Smolder, Ezreal, and Miss Fortune. See the best build, runes, matchups, and game plan for Wild Rift Patch 7.3.
How to play
- Farm safely toward your items Stay close to your support and avoid risky trades while your damage is still low.
- Choose the right weapon for the fight Your 1st ability switches weapons: use rockets for range and grouped enemies, and the minigun when a safe target is close.
- Play for the first takedown Helping kill an enemy champion gives you a burst of attack and movement speed. Attack the nearest safe target, then use that boost to keep fighting or escape.
Strengths
- Rocket splash and passive resets give her excellent cleanup once her team secures the first takedown.
- Flexible range: she brawls with the minigun and sieges with rockets depending on the fight.
- A global finisher whose damage scales with travel distance and the primary champion target's missing health; it is not a threshold execute.
Weaknesses
- Immobile and easy to gank: her only disengage is a trap she has to aim under pressure.
- Weak early game that lane bullies and dive comps punish hard.
- Depends on her team to keep her alive until her items arrive.

Jinx Dragon Lane Counters
Who counters Jinx Dragon Lane in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Jinx in the Dragon lane matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Smolder: Smolder's stacks upgrade Super Scorcher Breath (1st) with area damage, percent-health burn, and eventually an execute, but they do not increase his attack or Q (1st) cast range. Jinx retains the longer rocket range, while Smolder threatens grouped teams if allowed to reach his late stack thresholds.
- Ezreal: Ezreal pokes your immobile frame from spell range and blinks away from the Flame Chompers (3rd) and rockets you would catch him with, all while farming safely behind his minions.
- Miss Fortune: Miss Fortune bullies the exact early game you have to survive: her bounces chip you constantly, her strut (2nd) outpaces your slow movement, and her ultimate punishes a carry with no way to sidestep it.
Champions Jinx Is Strong Against
Jinx's best matchups in Wild Rift. Jinx holds an edge against these picks in the Dragon lane role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Samira: Samira has to reach melee range to do anything, and your Flame Chompers (3rd) plus rocket splash make that trip expensive. Her kit only gets going if you make mistakes.
- Vayne: Fishbones rockets and Zap! (2nd) damage Vayne before she reaches Silver Bolts (2nd) range, while Flame Chompers (3rd) restrict the Tumble (1st) route she needs to enter or leave. Push with rockets, place Chompers (3rd) between Vayne and the carry she wants to condemn, and use the safer range to reach items without giving her an isolated duel.
- Kai'Sa: Fishbones rockets let Jinx punish Kai'Sa's short early range before Icathian Rain (1st) and Supercharge (3rd) are evolved, and Flame Chompers (3rd) cover the direct Killer Instinct (Ult) landing. Push her off early last-hits, place Chompers (3rd) on the marked target before she ults, and use the item lead to start resets before Kai'Sa reaches her evolution breakpoints.
Jinx Dragon Lane Synergies
The best duo partners for Jinx in the Wild Rift Dragon lane role. The Dragon lane is a 2v2, so queue with one of these picks to make the lane and the mid game much easier.
- Lulu: The classic hyper-carry babysitter: Wild Growth (Ult) breaks the dive that kills you, Whimsy (2nd) speeds your kiting, and her shields buy the seconds you need to reach Get Excited (Passive) resets.
- Braum: Unbreakable (3rd) eats the burst aimed at you and Concussive Blows (Passive) stuns whoever dives, buying time for your minigun to melt them. He turns your worst moments into won fights.
- Thresh: The lantern un-dives you, Flay (3rd) peels the assassin off your face, and his hooks create the picks that let you siege with rockets. Everything he does buys minigun time.
Early Game
Prioritize farm because Jinx needs items before her sustained damage takes over fights. Rockets let you clear and poke from outside many trade ranges. Use them when the enemy duo crowds the wave, and swap to the minigun when your support starts a fight you can safely follow. Save Flame Chompers (3rd) for an engage or gank path instead of spending them as poke. A stable lane with strong farm is enough; do not force an all-in solely to create an early lead. Open with Hexoptics C44, then build Runaan's Hurricane and Infinity Edge. Choose Stormrazor first instead of Hexoptics when you want a stronger one-item powerspike. Yun Tal Wildarrows can replace Hexoptics in a quieter scaling lane; it needs repeated attacks to build its crit chance, so make that choice at the start of the build.
Mid Game
Your items arrive and fights start to matter. Rockets splash enemies who stand together and chip them before objective contests. In skirmishes, stay at max rocket range until Jinx earns an eligible takedown after damaging the champion, epic monster, or turret, then use Get Excited!'s (Passive) movement speed and total attack speed for the cleanup. Super Mega Death Rocket! (Ult) can contribute from across the map, with damage increasing over travel distance and against a wounded primary champion target.
Late Game
You are the win condition and both teams know it. Siege with rockets, stay behind your peel, and play fights in two stages: careful rocket poke until an eligible takedown triggers Get Excited! (Passive), then use the reset to reposition and keep firing. Flame Chompers (3rd) take 0.75 seconds to arm, so place them in a diver's path before contact rather than expecting an instant root. Do not chase so far that the reset separates you from your peel.
Teamfights
Rockets first, minigun when a safe closer target lets you use its attack speed. Start at rocket range, splash their frontline and anyone clumped behind it, and place Flame Chompers (3rd) early enough to arm in a diver's path. Get Excited! (Passive) triggers only from a champion, epic-monster, or turret takedown within three seconds of Jinx damaging that target, not from every death in the fight. Survive the opening, then use a real reset to clean up.
