Tryndamere Jungle Wild Rift Guide
Tryndamere jungle counters include Jax, Rammus, and Gragas. See the best build, runes, matchups, and game plan for Wild Rift Patch 7.3A.
How to play
- Build Fury on camps Keep attacking before a gank so Fury provides critical-strike chance. Spend it to heal when health is more important than damage.
- Save a way to follow Walk into range when possible, then spin after the enemy uses their escape. Your slow only affects enemies facing away.
- Use the undying window to attack or leave Cast your ultimate before lethal damage and plan the spin out before its protection ends.
Strengths
- High sustained attack damage rewards farm, Fury management, and uninterrupted melee access.
- Spinning Slash (3rd) provides terrain access for routes, approaches, and escapes.
- Undying Rage (Ult) lets him keep fighting through lethal damage for a limited window.
Weaknesses
- Stuns, attack denial, and kiting can consume most of his ultimate without letting him deal damage.
- Early fights are less reliable when he enters without Fury or spends it healing before contact.
- Side-lane pressure can leave the team without Smite if he rotates too late.

Tryndamere Jungle Counters
Who counters Tryndamere Jungle in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Tryndamere in the jungle matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Jax: Counter Strike (3rd) denies the critical attacks Tryndamere needs and can stun him during his limited ultimate window. Bait the dodge before committing, use the spin to create distance through the stun timing, and avoid extending into Jax's next rotation.
- Rammus: Rammus's armor, reflected damage, and taunt punish repeated attacks and can waste much of Undying Rage (Ult). Stop hitting during his defensive stance when possible and attack a different target after an ally has drawn the taunt.
- Gragas: Gragas can interrupt Tryndamere's approach and displace him after his ultimate begins, costing valuable attack time. Hold your spin for the displacement and enter after his first control rotation instead of diving straight through him.
- Lillia: Lillia can damage Tryndamere while moving out of melee and use sleep to waste his undying window. Approach behind allied control and preserve a dash for her retreat rather than following her alone through open jungle.
- Volibear: Volibear's early shield, stun, and repeated bite can outlast Tryndamere's first attack sequence. Avoid fighting in the delayed lightning, and disengage before the empowered second bite unless allies can finish the target during your ultimate.
Champions Tryndamere Is Strong Against
Tryndamere's best matchups in Wild Rift. Tryndamere holds an edge against these picks in the jungle role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Gwen: Tryndamere can spin inside Gwen's mist and keep attacking while his ultimate prevents her final snips from killing him. Preserve movement for her dash and avoid using the undying window while she is already too far away to hit.
- Evelynn: Undying Rage (Ult) can deny the lethal end of Evelynn's burst, leaving her with fewer spells for a prolonged exchange. Do not enter a fight already charmed and isolated; track her retreat and punish when her ultimate is unavailable.
- Kha'Zix: Tryndamere's ultimate can absorb Kha'Zix's finishing burst while repeated attacks threaten the return duel. Keep Fury and save the spin for his jump, but avoid chasing his invisibility away from allied vision or into reinforcements.
- Shyvana: Shyvana needs repeated attacks after her leap, giving Tryndamere a target while Undying Rage (Ult) prevents lethal damage. Move out of her area damage and hold Spinning Slash (3rd) to follow the leap rather than spending your dash before she commits.
- Dr. Mundo: Mundo has no hard disable to consume Tryndamere's attack window, and Blade of the Ruined King helps pressure his health. Stay beside him after the cleaver slow, then add Mortal Reminder if regeneration is preventing a finish instead of forcing an endless chase.
Early Game
Start Spinning Slash (3rd), learn Bloodlust (1st) at level 2, and Mocking Shout (2nd) at level 3. Max the 3rd ability, then the 1st, then the 2nd; rank Undying Rage (Ult) whenever available. Begin at a protected buff and clear its neighboring camps, then cross toward the lane with the best allied setup. Spin through grouped monsters and keep attacks going to build Fury before a possible gank. Hold Bloodlust (1st) when you are healthy enough to keep the crit chance, but use its heal before a dangerous approach or forced reset. Check for the enemy jungler before crossing river. Without lane priority or Fury, finish safe camps and buy attack-speed components rather than gambling your route on an early duel.
Mid Game
After your first item, use completed camps as the starting point for a gank so you arrive with Fury. Walk toward the target, apply Mocking Shout (2nd) as they turn away, and save Spinning Slash (3rd) for their escape when possible. Convert a successful play into an objective, enemy camp, or turret with your laner. Clear and reset before the next contest instead of staying in a side lane merely because you can win its duel.
Late Game
Push a side wave only when the next major objective cannot start before you return. As the team's jungler, remain close enough to Baron or Elder to provide Smite and sustained damage. Look for a flank after enemy control is spent, then attack a carry you can actually stay beside. If your ultimate is forced before contact, leave and recover rather than treating the remaining seconds as a reason to dive farther.
Teamfights
Approach from the side while an ally draws the first control spell. Use Mocking Shout (2nd) for its attack-damage reduction and the conditional slow, then spin after the target's escape. Activate Undying Rage (Ult) before lethal damage; it does not prevent stuns or slows. Decide early whether the next spin should follow the carry or cross a wall to safety, and use Bloodlust (1st) when its heal will preserve the retreat.
