Yunara Dragon Lane Wild Rift Guide
Who counters Yunara in Wild Rift? The toughest Yunara Dragon lane counters are Draven, Lucian, and Caitlyn. Full Yunara Dragon Lane counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.
Overview
Yunara is a marksman built around attack speed. Every attack she lands feeds her Unleash stacks and adds bonus magic damage on-hit, so her damage is hybrid from level one and hard to itemize against. Her Q pours those stacks into a burst of faster attacks that spread to nearby enemies, so the longer she stands and shoots, the more damage she deals. She is a pure hyper-carry: quiet early, terrifying late. The rest of her kit protects that time on target. Her W is a spinning prayer bead that drifts out, slows what it touches, and lingers where it stops. Her E is a burst of speed toward whoever she is chasing or running from, her only real answer to a dive until her ultimate turns it into a true dash, and that ultimate also stretches her range and sharpens her whole rotation. The cost is the usual hyper-carry package: average early trades, one speed burst as her entire escape plan, and a lane that denies her farm delays the only part of her game that matters.
Strengths
- Hybrid on-hit damage punishes armor and magic resist stacking alike, with no single defensive answer.
- Elite sustained DPS once items land: ramping attack speed and a spreading Q shred whole teams.
- Her slow zone and her speed burst give just enough self-peel to survive the dives her scaling invites.
Weaknesses
- Weak early trades and a farm-hungry power curve, so lane bullies punish the phase she needs to survive.
- One burst of speed is her only escape; hard engage that catches it leaves her standing still.
- Her scaling makes her the enemy's main target, and her speed burst only answers one mistake per fight.

Yunara Dragon Lane Counters
Who counters Yunara Dragon Lane in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Yunara in the Dragon lane matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Draven: Draven's axes out-hit your entire early game, and your ramp never matters in a trade that ends in two rotations. At even farm, your late game takes over once his strong phase passes.
- Lucian: Lucian dashes in and unloads a full rotation before your on-hit damage ramps, so his burst beats your scaling early. Late, your scaling beats everything he has.
- Caitlyn: She out-ranges your farm routine and punishes every step toward the wave your scaling needs. Your ramp beats her siege in later teamfights, but the lane phase itself is hers.
Champions Yunara Is Strong Against
Yunara's best matchups in Wild Rift. Yunara holds an edge against these picks in the Dragon lane role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Jinx: You both scale, but your hybrid on-hit ramp out-duels her rockets in every extended 2v2, and your speed burst slips the chompers she needs to peel you off her immobile frame.
- Kog'Maw: His early game is as quiet as yours, but your speed burst and slow win the even trades his immobile frame cannot answer. You both scale, and you are the one who can walk away.
- Sivir: Her Spell Shield eats one spell, but your damage is a hundred autos it cannot answer, so your ramp wins every long trade her waveclear tempo keeps starting.
Yunara Dragon Lane Synergies
The best duo partners for Yunara in the Wild Rift Dragon lane role. The Dragon lane is a 2v2, so queue with one of these picks to make the lane and the mid game much easier.
- Lulu: She protects the scaling attack-speed carry you become: shields and Whimsy through the early game, Wild Growth when they finally dive the hyper.
- Milio: Extra range from Cozy Campfire plus a cleanse ult is exactly what an immobile scaling marksman orders: you sit behind the fire and shred.
- Braum: He stands between you and everything: your rapid attacks stack his passive instantly, and Unbreakable blanks the poke while you scale into the carry.
Early Game
Farm like the late game depends on it, because it does. Take what the wave offers, let your support handle the aggression, and keep your prayer bead between you and the enemy carry so every trade happens across a slow. Your on-hit damage makes short, even trades better than they look, but do not chase them: your speed burst is your only way out, and spending it to win a trade is how Yunaras die to the next gank. Track the enemy jungler before you cross river, and treat every level as a step toward the fights you actually win.
Mid Game
Your first items turn skirmishes into trades the enemy keeps losing. Group for dragons, hold the edge of the fight, and let your ramp decide the standoffs around the pit. The W slow both starts and refuses fights: drop it on the choke when you want the enemy to come through, or behind you when you need them to stop. Save the speed burst for the one diver every enemy comp sends at you. A Yunara who survives the engage usually wins the fight that follows.
Late Game
You are the win condition now, and everyone knows it. Stand behind your frontline, open your ultimate when the fight commits, and let the extra range turn your ramp loose on whoever is closest. Do not walk first through fog and do not chase kills your team cannot follow: alive, you shred a full team through the front; dead, you hand them the fight. Your escape answers exactly one mistake per fight, so make the enemy spend more than that to reach you.
Teamfights
Attack whatever the fight puts in range and trust your DPS. Your spreading Q means you do not need to reach the enemy carry, just to keep attacking while your team holds the line, and your hybrid damage means the tank in front of you is not a wall. Open the ultimate as the engage lands so the range and attack speed cover the whole fight, drop the prayer bead across the diver's path, and hold your speed until someone commits to you. Every choice comes down to one question: does this keep me shooting?
