Camille Baron Lane Wild Rift Guide

Camille Baron lane counters include Renekton, Darius, and Fiora. See the best build, runes, matchups, and game plan for Wild Rift Patch 7.3.

How to play

  • Trade when your shield is ready Basic attacks on champions trigger your passive shield when it is ready. Use your 1st ability for two stronger attacks, waiting between them to increase the second hit.
  • Keep a wall nearby Use your 3rd ability on a wall, then cast it again to leap toward an enemy or back to safety.
  • Trap a target your team can reach Use your ultimate to stop an enemy damage dealer from escaping while your teammates follow up.

Strengths

  • Strong pick potential: wall dashes plus an inescapable zone isolate a carry, though allies outside can still attack or cast into it.
  • The second Q's (1st) true-damage conversion scales from 40% to 100% with level, making armor progressively less effective rather than useless immediately.
  • Elite split pusher with the mobility to escape collapses that would kill anyone else.

Weaknesses

  • Weak early game: strong lane bullies can put her so far behind her item spikes never arrive.
  • Cooldown dependent: with Hookshot (3rd) down she is a melee champion with no escape and average stats.
  • Duelists who answer her trading pattern directly, especially parry effects, beat her at her own game.

Camille Baron Lane Counters

Who counters Camille Baron Lane in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Camille in the Baron lane matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.

  • Renekton: He is strongest exactly when you are weakest: his stun interrupts your trade pattern and his burst goes through your shield in the early levels. He falls off; you do not.
  • Darius: Everything in his lane kit is built to kill you before items: the pull, the stacking bleed, the all-in. You can only really fight him once you reach two items.
  • Fiora: She out-duels you, her parry answers your Hookshot (3rd) stun with a stun of her own, and her vitals out-heal you in extended fights.
  • Jax: His Counter Strike (3rd) dodges your Q (1st) autos and stuns you mid-combo, and once items arrive he out-trades your shield cycle, so the extended brawl is his.

Champions Camille Is Strong Against

Camille's best matchups in Wild Rift. Camille holds an edge against these picks in the Baron lane role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.

  • Garen: Adaptive Defenses (Passive) helps Camille absorb Garen's return trade, while the readied second Q (1st) converts more of its damage to true damage as Camille levels. Early it is only partial conversion, so do not treat armor as irrelevant from level one.
  • Yone: Yone does not take damage merely because Soul Unbound (3rd) snaps him back; instead, the return deals stored true damage to champions he hit. Punish the body location he must return to with a timed second Q (1st) or Hookshot (3rd), rather than expecting the snapback itself to hurt him.
  • Ornn: Too slow to threaten you. He cannot match your split push or escape your R (Ult) in fights, and both his pillar and the brittle combo are avoidable.
  • Yasuo: Wind Wall (2nd) does not stop Camille's melee Q (1st) attacks or Tactical Sweep (2nd). The readied second Q (1st) increasingly converts damage to true damage with level, but it is not fully true damage throughout the lane.
  • Kayle: Her melee phase has no answer to your early Q (1st) trades, and her whole game depends on farm you keep taking away. Even if she scales, your true damage cuts through the armor she buys.

Early Game

Respect the first few levels until you know which spell wins the matchup's trades. Use the outer half of Tactical Sweep (2nd) to thin the wave, slow the opponent, and heal without committing Hookshot (3rd). When you do trade, trigger the adaptive shield, use Q1 (1st), wait through the 1.6-second readiness window, and land Q2 (1st) after the enemy's defensive tool expires. Keep the wave on your side against strong gank setup, because a Hookshot (3rd) spent forward leaves no clean retreat. The passive shield adapts to the target's prior physical or magic champion damage rather than blocking both types.

Mid Game

First item plus The Hextech Ultimatum (Ult) gives Camille side-lane control and a reliable pick for river fights. Crash before moving to the first Herald, approach from terrain, and use Hookshot's (3rd) champion hit to gain the attack-speed window before locking the target inside R (Ult). The initial cast knocks other nearby enemies away, but it does not stop them from attacking or casting back into the zone afterward. If the enemy sends multiple defenders to your side lane, disengage through terrain and let your team convert the pressure elsewhere.

Late Game

Late game, keep a side wave moving without disappearing from the next major objective. Duel isolated defenders when vision shows the rest of the enemy team, then rotate early enough to find a terrain flank onto the carry. The Hextech Ultimatum (Ult) grounds its target and knocks other champions away on arrival, but the trapped carry can still fight and teammates can still assist from outside. Choose a target you can survive inside the zone, and remember that it ends early if Camille becomes untargetable, leaves it, or dies.

Teamfights

Hold your engage until the frontline commits or a carry steps away from peel. Hookshot (3rd) from an unseen terrain angle, land the stun if possible, and use R (Ult) to dodge a key spell or contain the priority target. The initial knockback disrupts nearby peel, but enemies can still damage or control Camille inside the zone. Time Q2 (1st) after its conversion is ready, use the adaptive shield against the target's main damage type, and keep Flash or Hookshot (3rd) available when the duel will not end immediately.
