Urgot Baron Lane Wild Rift Guide
Who counters Urgot in Wild Rift? The toughest Urgot Baron lane counters are Dr. Mundo, Kayle, and Teemo. Full Urgot Baron Lane counters and matchups, plus the best build, runes, and game plan for Patch 7.2c.
Overview
Urgot is a ranged juggernaut with a tank's stat line. His legs are shotguns, each firing an empowered blast as he weaves abilities between attacks, and most melee laners cannot afford the damage it costs to stand in front of him. His E flips divers over his shoulder, his W turns him into a locked-on machine gun, and his ultimate executes anyone who dips too low, dragging them in and fearing everyone nearby. His lane is a trading rhythm: fire an ability, let a leg blast follow, repeat, and the enemy's health drops at a pace they cannot match. The execute changes every trade, because a losing fight against Urgot ends with a chain dragging you back to die. What he lacks is speed. He is slow, short-ranged for a shooter, and mana-hungry early, so kiting champions and ranged poke shut his pattern down. Urgot wins by controlling the space he stands in, because nobody wins inside it.
Strengths
- Punishing sustained trades: the shotgun-leg rhythm grinds down melee laners who contest the wave.
- His execute flips entire fights, deleting a low target and fearing everyone nearby.
- Tanky damage dealer who flips divers with E, making him miserable to engage on.
Weaknesses
- Slow and easily kited, with one dash that doubles as his only escape.
- Short range for a ranged champion: disciplined spacing denies most of his damage.
- Expensive early: mana costs and long cooldowns punish a wasted rotation.

Urgot Baron Lane Counters
Who counters Urgot Baron Lane in Wild Rift (WR)? These champions beat Urgot in the Baron lane matchup, with how each one wins. Learn to play around them or ban them in ranked.
- Dr. Mundo: He simply regenerates everything you deal, his health pool sits far above your execute threshold, and his cleavers tax your slow frame all lane. Even anti-heal only slows the stalemate.
- Kayle: She farms outside your range and scales past your relevance, so if she reaches her ranged form healthy, everything you won in lane stops mattering.
- Teemo: The blind mutes your legs, the shrooms dictate your pathing, and he never stands where the flip can reach him.
- Garen: The silence cuts your ability rhythm mid-cycle, and his regen refunds whatever the legs collect. You both have executes, but his is point-and-click.
Champions Urgot Is Strong Against
Urgot's best matchups in Wild Rift. Urgot holds an edge against these picks in the Baron lane role, so look to press the advantage and contest objectives.
- Darius: You out-range his entire kit, and your legs win the trades his bleed needs to get started. His only way in is forcing the gap, and the flip answers exactly that.
- Jax: His dodge stops your basic attacks but not your legs, your Q, or the W shred, so you grind him through the levels where he is weakest. An even-gold Jax becomes a real threat later.
- Yone: Both his forms have to enter shotgun range, and the spirit's snapback walks him through your legs twice, so his health bar rarely lets him farm, let alone scale.
- Yasuo: His windwall blocks one cycle of shots, not the lane, and his dashes feed him into flip range. Below half health against Urgot, he is permanently in execute danger.
- Irelia: Her dashes deliver her into the one place she should never be: the flip catches the engage, the machine gun shreds the landing, and the execute erases what her sustain saved.
Early Game
Set the trading rhythm and make them pay for every last hit. Walk up with a leg blast loaded, slow them with Q, and let the W machine-gun phase shred while your legs cycle. Melee opponents either give up the wave or pay health for it. Spend E carefully, since it is your engage, your escape, and your gank answer in one button. At level 5 the lane changes: anyone you chunk below the execute threshold is a kill waiting to happen, and they start playing like they know it.
Mid Game
Your first item plus the execute makes you one of the strongest zone controllers in the river. Look for picks where the E flip starts the fight and the ultimate finishes it; one execute's fear can turn a skirmish into a won fight. Frontline for Herald with your legs cycling, and remember you do not chase anyone down, you make them come through you.
Late Game
Park yourself wherever the fight has to happen and grind. Your legs shred frontliners, your flip ruins the first diver who tries your backline, and your ultimate threatens every low health bar on their team. Hold the execute for targets that matter; a chain wasted on a tank is gone for the rest of the fight. You are not fast, so position early and let them make the mistake of arriving.
Teamfights
You are the immovable frontline. Stand at the front, cycle legs into whoever is closest, and save the E flip for the diver who tries to pass you, dropping them in front of your carries to die. Watch enemy health bars more than positions: the moment someone crosses the execute line, take them, because the fear that follows wins the rest of the fight. No backline access needed; the fight comes to Urgot or it does not happen.
